In Section 1 we will look at the foundations of Eldon Shamblin's rhythm playing. This includes common chord shapes, movement within the shapes, and substitutions. Most of the chords are based out of common cowboy chord shapes (or CAGED system based chords).
"Stay All Night Stay A Little Longer" is an upbeat fiddle tune in the key of G. In this tune we will see how Eldon uses diatonic chords to add color to the simple two chord progression.

Section 3: Advanced Substitutions
In Section 3 we will look at more advanced substitutions Eldon frequently used. We will work with augmented and diminished chords, tritone and minor substitutions, and imposing chords over other chords.

Section 4: "Bubbles In My Beer" Performance
"Bubbles In My Beer" is a mid tempo swing in the key of D. In this tune we will see how Eldon imposes minor chords over dominant chords, diminished passing chords, and advanced substitutions to add color to the mainly two chord tune.
